The task:
As a part of SOLIFIED’s extensive inspection services, encompassing the full life cycle of PV modules, one of the most important check marks is a Post shipment/Pre installation EL inspection.
This inspection is aimed to ensure PV modules integrity prior of assuming client responsibility of the product. The inspection commonly take place at the port warehouse facility upon arrival of modules.
Our Approach:
In the following case, our client as an EPC, was assuming responsibility over the modules in preparation for site delivery and installation.
As a preliminary risk management measures SOLIFIED was tasked with testing a small, random batch of modules for manufacturing and shipping defects.
Solution:
Inspection results found numerus faults. originated both in factory process line and also due to warehouse improper stacking of pallets at 4-level high disregarding manufacturer instructions.
By sampling modules prior to undertaking responsibility, our client was not only able to avoid a long and difficult warranty claim down the line but also future under-performance of the asset thereby ensuring high quality service for its client and investors.
